elemental bow strings
like a shocking string or ebon string, does it actually add some elemental damage or does it just do extra damage to the elemental type its weak to.. ie fire does double to earth.

They just change the damage type to X. So, if you use fire vs a monster who is weak to fire, you will do more damage.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Which also means you could do alot less if it has a resistance.

it also allows R/E to add elemental damage ontop of their bows, and since it doesnt count as a preparation you can stack it with barrage.
